Currently, if someone wants to go with a wired LAN connection on a Switch 2, they would need to have a dock nearby and connect the cord to that, but this adapter will offer a different option. After plugging in the accessory to either the upper or lower USB Type-C port on the console, it would be possible to directly plug the LAN cable into that. The package only includes the adapter and no additional cables.

The package offered some additional details. It noted it is USB 3.0 compatible. It also said it supports up to 1,000Mbps. Below that, the package noted that it isn’t just a Switch 2 device. It mentioned the Switch and Switch Lite too.

Columbus Circle often releases accessories, systems, and even games. For example, it shared the 16-bit Compact HD in July 2025. That is a console that supports Super Famicom and SNES cartridges and outputs in 720p HD. It was also behind the Super Famicom cartridge for Cotton 100%in Japan in September 2023.

The Switch 2 Type-C Wired LAN Adapter that allows someone to set up a wired connection without the dock will debut in Japan on September 19, 2025.
