Genshin Impact Bennett Videos Highlight His Past and Present

Now that the 5.8 Genshin Impact update is live, including a Sunspray Summer Resort event with Bennett, HoYoVerse also shared two videos pulled from the game that highlight his past and present. One is more notable in terms of lore than the other, as it offers more insight into the unlucky orphan raised by the Mondstadt Adventurers’ Guild. Both of them include Genshin Impact spoilers.

Both of the videos are part of the “The Surprise That Awaits Us All” quest and were released on August 5, 2025. While they each include spoilers for Bennett, the first one includes more spoilers for the Genshin Impact character than the other. It actually shows the Pyro unit as a baby. We see detailed circumstances that got into his past. It also heavily focuses on some adventurers named Aroni and Macani, as well as their friends Anja and Chaco. They’re all part of a team known as Tecpatl’s Flintblades. 

The second video is more of a follow-up. It covers the end of the Sunspray Summer Resort event. This means we get to see all of the different characters having fun together at the end of the questline. However, there are also references to Bennett and his past there too.

Bennett is always available in-game. He’s a four-star Pyro unit that uses a sword. He’s part of the general character pool. You can only earn his outfit for free during this 5.8 event though, as it will be a paid item after 6.0 starts.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. However, it won’t be on the PS4 by this time next year. HoYoVerse announced it will be delisted on September 10, 2025, then completely shut down on April 8, 2026.
